The 7th Street Mixed Use Project, located on 7th Street, NW, in Washington DC’s Shaw district is a recent winner of the AIA Merit Award for Design Excellence. The judges agreed that the project was well-designed while overcoming difficult constraints. The plan is very simple, yet effective, and looks aesthetically-pleasing in the neighborhood.
